European Literature and Culture


Overview

The Minor in European Literature and Culture will provide you with a broad understanding of the development and interconnectedness of European cultures through history and in today’s world. You can study literature and the arts from the Middle Ages up to today.  

You can take an in-depth look at influential European thinkers like Franz Kafka and Machiavelli and discover how their work reflected and affected their respective cultures.  

Study a particular movement like Italian Futurism, or gain a broad understanding of Russian drama or German literature. 


Careers

A minor in European Literature and Culture will improve your skills in writing and analysis while broadening your understanding of the world. Develop your interests and forge a path for future study in history, literary or cultural studies.
