Behavioural Science

Overview

Behavioural science is the study of human actions and interactions – from observing and interpreting behaviours, to intervening and modifying them.

If you are pursuing a Major in Psychology, you can benefit from the Minor in Behavioural Science. This is strongly recommended for students who wish to pursue graduate training in Psychology and those who may wish to eventually apply for membership to the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec.

This Minor counts as a second minor concentration and is open only to students registered in the Major Concentration Psychology. A first minor concentration must also be completed in a discipline other than Psychology.

Careers

This minor is especially relevant for students looking to pursue a career in psychology, whether in the field or in academia.

Potential careers include:

  • Psychologist
  • Behavioural Scientist
  • Counsellor
  • Professor
  • Researcher
