Overview
The Honours BA Applied Mathematics program will provide you with fundamental knowledge of the various branches of mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, statistics and probability) among other areas of the discipline. Applied mathematics is unique in that it looks at how mathematics is used in a variety of fields within the sciences and the arts. This makes it a great field for students who are interested in combining their skills and interests in mathematics with another field of study.
The program is a journey into the underlying order of things. You’ll be delving into analysis, functions, dynamics, chaos and number theory among others, untangling solutions to problems and uncovering the logic in complicated situations.
