Dr. Christoph Borchers, a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology at the University of Victoria (UVic) and McGill University, holds the Don and Eleanor Rix BC Leadership Chair in Biomedical and Environmental Proteomics. He is the Director of the UVic – Genome BC Proteomics Centre and holds the Segal Chair in Molecular Oncology at the Jewish General Hospital. Dr. Borchers earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Konstanz in Germany. He specializes in the development of proteomics technologies, particularly quantitative targeted proteomics for clinical diagnostics and structural proteomics. With over 200 peer-reviewed publications, he is also the founder and CSO of Creative Molecules, Inc. and MRM Proteomics Inc. Dr. Borchers is actively involved in proteomics research and education, serving as an HUPO International Council Member and past VP of the Canadian National Proteomics Network.
