Scientific Director of the Cancer Genomics and Translational Research Laboratory
Dr. Adriana Aguilar is the Scientific Director of the Cancer Genomics and Translational Research Laboratory at the Lady Davis Institute. With over 20 years of experience in translational cancer research, she specializes in bridging basic science with clinical application to advance precision oncology. Dr. Aguilar has played a key role in biopsy-driven and biomarker clinical trials such as Q-CROC-03 and TRICIA, and established a patient-derived xenograft (PDX) platform at the Jewish General Hospital to support biomarker discovery and therapy guidance. As a member of the Segal Cancer Center Liquid Biopsy Program, she co-leads the development of personalized liquid biopsy assays for minimal residual disease detection in breast cancer and works toward their implementation in the clinical setting.
