Travel to Canada during COVID-19

Please review the Government of Canada site for the most up-to-date travel advice on entering Canada during the pandemic.

Travel insurance

  • Health insurance coverage is mandatory for all MSA participants. If you are not covered by Canada’s provincial health insurance, you must purchase travel insurance that covers you for the duration of your stay with us at MSA in Montreal. You will be required to provide proof of insurance before your arrival.

  • In the case of a medical emergency, upfront payments for medical services may be necessary. You and your family are responsible for upfront payments to be reimbursed as per your health insurance policy. MSA staff are not responsible for any up front medical expenses.

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Visa-exempt foreign nationals need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens and travellers with a valid Canadian Visa. Please visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website to know if you need an eTA to travel to Canada.

Visas

Please visit the CIC website to find out if you need a visa to visit Canada.

You may need a visitor visa to enter Canada. Please take note of processing times for your country at the CIC website: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html
