In accordance with McGill University’s Statutes, an Advisory Committee to the President and Vice-Chancellor has been established for the possible reappointment of the Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management.

Advisory Process: Mandate & Activities
Mandate
The Committee is mandated to advise the President through its Chair on the reappointment of the Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management. In fulfilling this mandate, the Committee will review the Dean’s performance, consult with members of the University community, and consider the Faculty’s priorities for the years ahead.
Key Stages
Once the Advisory Committee is formed, its process involves several stages, generally focusing on the following steps:
- Committee orientation and preliminary review of the incumbent’s achievements and performance to date (based on the incumbent’s report on achievements, written comments from members of the community, results of the leadership survey)
- Meeting with the incumbent (interview) and Committee deliberations
- Advice communicated by the Chair to the President
- Presentation of recommendation by the President to the Board of Governors

The Advisory Committee invites members of the McGill community to submit written feedback regarding the possible reappointment of the Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management.
