Creating Resilient Learning Environments Part 2
Following the first Creating Resilient Learning Environments session in May as part of Teaching for Learning month, join us for a Part 2 workshop with Dr. Jessica Bleuer, Assistant Professor in Creative Arts Therapies at Concordia University.
This experiential in-person workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to exchange and explore approaches to navigating microaggressions and intervening in educational settings. Engage with colleagues, discover a range of strategies, and identify what we can individually and collectively do to create resilient learning environments in and beyond the classroom.
By attending this workshop, participants will have a chance to:
- Interact with the "Pause, reflect, and respond" microaggression model
- Share experiences about addressing microaggressions in educational environments
- Deepen capacity for implementing microaggression strategies into their own contexts
Note: N95 or equivalent masks are highly encouraged as an act of community care and to promote accessibility for all but especially for health vulnerable community members who take larger risks in gathering in groups of people. For the same reason, we invite people to stay home if they have cold symptoms or are otherwise feeling ill. Complimentary masks will be available for all participants who need.
