From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Welcome to the SAPP!

The Science and Practice in Psychology (SAPP) lab at McGill University aims to enhance the practice of professional psychology based on the best available scientific knowledge.

Our team consists of established researchers and graduate students who conduct research about how psychological science can inform and be informed by professional psychology. Our current research focuses on the following topics:

  • The use of science in professional psychology
  • Knowledge translation and clinician-researcher collaboration
  • Science-based psychological and psycho-educational interventions
