Online Virtual Events

Online activities are

  • Suitable for an audience between 6 and 12 years old
  • Kits contain enough materials for the number of participants present (maximum of 30)
  • Offered in English and French
  • Duration: approximately 45 minutes to 1-hour, depending on the question period.

Fees

Our online ticketing platform makes it super easy to reserve and pay for the event. All reservations can be paid with a credit card or by checks. If checks are your preferred method of payment, please contact us at redpath.museum [at] mcgill.ca for more information.

1-20 participants: $100
21-25 participants: $120
26-30 participants: $130

This includes:

  • A 45-50 minute presentation live, from the museum

And a mail delivered package containing the following materials for each participant:

  • A letter of presentation from the museum's director
  • Activity sheets to follow along during the activity
  • A special colouring activity to complete after
  • A special badge
  • A postcard to remember your activity by

Come meet our resident Triceratops SARA and learn about the main characteristics of these magnificent animals.

Dive into the world of Palaeontology and learn how we excavate, transport and study the bone fossils. We will discuss tools, where we find dinosaurs and who digs for fossils!

Cancellations

In case of cancellation, please notify us before we send the documentation (the date will be confirmed at the time of booking). Any cancellation after the mailing of the documentation will result in a cancellation fee of $50 per group.

Rematriation, Repatriation and Restitution Statement

We acknowledge that the return and restitution of cultural and natural heritage to communities of origin is an essential part of reconciliation and of recognizing the fundamental rights of Indigenous Peoples. As part of wider efforts to activate the standards presented in the Canadian Museums Association Report Moved to Action: Activating UNDRIP in Canadian Museums (2022), the Redpath is working towards pro-active restitution practices. As per our Collections Management Policy (2024), repatriation requests will be received by the Redpath Museum Director and will be treated on a case-by-case basis.
