Nuit Blanche returns to the Redpath Museum

Published: 10 March 2025

On March 1, Nuit blanche took over Montréal for its 22nd edition. The annual all-night festival brings cultural events to every corner of the city, including McGill’s downtown campus.

This year, McGill’s Redpath Museum once again took part in the festivities, giving community members the chance to explore and rediscover the Museum after dark with flashlights. Over 500 people attended the family-friendly event throughout the night to shine a light on the Museum’s exhibits, including its mineral and biodiversity exhibits

McGill’s Let’s Talk Science group and the Macdonald Campus also participated in the event, presenting specimens from the Museum’s collections to visitors throughout the evening. Steampunk Montreal, a local group celebrating the science fiction steampunk genre, was also on site to entertain visitors. The local group has become a familiar fixture of the Redpath Museum’s Nuit Blanche programming, having been involved with the event for several years.
