This academic year, the Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN) is welcoming 536 new students to across all of its programs, representing an 18% increase over last year!
Four separate orientation sessions were held at the end of August. Expertly organized by staff in the Nursing Student Affairs Office (NSAO), the sessions warmly welcomed new students eager to meet their peers and professors, learn more about their chosen programs, and explore the many opportunities and resources offered by the Ingram School of Nursing and McGill University.
Students in the qualifying year of our direct entry master’s program met at the ISoN on August 20th. The following week, on August 25th, 200 students filled the Jeanne Timmins Amphitheatre at The Neuro for the undergraduate (BScN and BNI on campus) orientation, jointly presented by executive members of the Nursing Undergraduate Society and the NSAO. BNI online students participated in an online orientation while doctoral students and master’s students in the advanced nursing and nurse practitioner programs gathered at the ISoN on August 27th.
Thanks to all for their enthusiastic participation and thoughtful input. Here’s to a great year ahead!
