If you could change one thing in the world to make it better, what would you choose?
I’d try to help bring the WHO’s vision to life: where basic human rights — safe environments, clean water, education, and mental well-being — are prioritized for everyone. Perhaps if we invest more in compassion and education early on, the greater our collective potential would be.
What are you most proud of from your time at McGill?
I’m most proud of the metamorphosis from someone who struggled with imposter syndrome early on in my studies to the increasingly confident novice nurse I am becoming. McGill’s nurturing environment played a significant role in that growth, and for that I’m deeply grateful.
Your fave McGill spot?
Hands down the Gault Nature reserve. But if we kept it to campus: that balcony-ish space behind the L.M. Trottier Building.
A song that defines the past few years as a student at McGill?
Any shoutouts?
Oh my, too many of my professors and peers to list here Thank you all for the Crit(ical thinking) hit & for providing a safe space to reflect (and occasionally vent).
Top tip for incoming students in your program?
Stay open to what ISoN and its professors have to offer, and allow yourself the time and dedication needed to grow in confidence, perspective, and resilience throughout the journey ahead.
What’s next for you?
I’ve recently begun my career as a school and youth clinic nurse with the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal, where I hope to continue growing while serving the evolving health needs of my community.
