Inaugural Values in Action Award

Inaugural winners of Values in Action Award celebrated by colleagues at ISoN's spring retreat.

What’s better than winning an award in the presence of your colleagues? Winning it on your birthday! At its Annual Spring Retreat on June 10, 2026, the Ingram School of Nursing proudly presented its inaugural ISoN Values in Action Award for faculty (2 awards) and staff (1 award). Congratulations to Professors YiQing Lü (the birthday boy) and Norma Ponzoni, and to Standardized Patient (SP) Coordinator and Interim SP Educator Chloe Giddings. Judging by the sustained applause, their colleagues agreed wholeheartedly with the selection committee’s choices!

Professors Ponzoni and Lü were lauded for their meaningful impact on students, colleagues, and the ISoN community through mentorship, professionalism, leadership, compassion, and inclusivity, as well as for their alignment with the values of the School. Chloe earned praise for fostering a supportive learning environment, inspiring others through her actions, and contributing positively to the ISoN community.
