Experts: Canada’s investment summit

Prime Minister Mark Carney will host a two-day summit in Toronto Sept. 14-15. The inaugural, invitation-only event, created in partnership with two of Canada’s largest institutional investors, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments), is expected to attract hundreds of CEOs from around the globe who are potentially interested in investing in Canada.

These McGill experts are available to comment:

Sebastien Betermier, Associate Professor, Finance, Desautels Faculty of Management, can speak about matters related to the summit and what it will take to bring institutional capital to Canada.

Julian Karaguesian, Lecturer, Department of Economics, can speak about the Canadian economy, monetary policy, international trade and tariff policy and federal and provincial budgets.
