Court dismisses Peggy Ann Sheppard case
After a ten-year legal saga, a Quebec Superior Court ruling has dismissed a $1.6-million suit filed against McGill University by a former employee, Peggy Ann Sheppard.
In her 104-page ruling, Justice Michèle Monast stated that there was no evidence McGill acted inappropriately or in bad faith at any time.
"We are pleased that justice has prevailed and sincerely hope that this will put an end to what has been a very difficult matter for many people," said Jennifer Robinson, McGill Associate Vice-Principal (Communications).
