The MOM faculty offers a consultative clinical service for pregnant or postpartum patients admitted to antenatal units, the intensive care unit, or the emergency department at the MUHC. Our service runs from 0800 – 1700 Monday through Friday, with coverage by the General Internal Medicine Consult Service after hours and on weekends. We provide advice and recommendations on care of pre-existing maternal medical conditions that may be affected by pregnancy, medical conditions that arise in pregnancy, pharmacotherapy, and appropriate use of diagnostic tests.
