Obstetric Medicine Rotation

At the MUHC, the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) offers a clinical rotation geared toward GIM trainees in their PGY-4 and PGY-5 years. The rotation provides exposure to a variety of ambulatory and acute inpatient medical disorders that may be encountered in the pregnant or postpartum patient. Trainees rotate at 4 different hospital sites serving a mixed, multi-ethnic population.

The rotation is supervised by GIM staff with experience and expertise in Obstetric Medicine. During the rotation, trainees work closely with trainees and faculty in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, which helps to develop a multi-disciplinary approach.
