Overview
The McGill Mindfulness Research Lab conducts research on advancing the theory, research, and applications of mindfulness and compassion. The global aim of the research is to make a deep lasting change on both individuals and societies by embracing new ways of interacting with oneself, other people, and the natural environment including animals through the practices of mindfulness and compassion. The lab strongly promotes values of equality, diversity, respect and dignity of all sentient beings including human beings and animals as well as protecting the natural environment.
MMRL is currently conducting research in the following areas:

b. Embodied and Embedded Mindfulness and Compassion Programs
b1. VR/nature-based Mindfulness and Compassion Programs
b2. Mindfulness and Compassion Programs with specific populations or settings
c. Experimental Study of Interpersonal Mindfulness
