Opening for a postdoctoral position in Professor Marta Cerruti's group
We are looking for postdoctoral fellow candidates who are interested in working on how to improve binding between polymeric and glass/ceramic materials for applications that include percutaneous polymeric implants and green cement.
The research will be conducted in collaboration with colleagues from the Dentistry department at McGill and Pharmacy at Université de Montréal. A local company, CXC, is involved too. The postdoctoral fellow will join the multicultural and dynamic "Biointerface lab" (http://biointerfacelab.mcgill.ca/index.html) group and have access to state-of-the art facilities in our laboratory and McGill.
Minimum requirement is a PhD in chemistry, materials science or engineering, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have experience with material surface modification, bioactive glass synthesis, and material surface characterization. Experience with cell culture is a plus.
Applications from people belonging to minority and underrepresented groups are especially welcome.
Please email Professor Cerruti (marta.cerruti [at] mcgill.ca) if interested.
