Legal Education Seminar Working Papers

Geared to doctoral candidates, the Legal Education Seminar (LAWG 525) taught by Professor Shauna Van Praagh provides a forum for a sustained discussion on the learning and teaching of law.

By delving into examples found across time and space, participants reflect on the ways in which legal education continues to be evolve. In particular, the objectives of (legal) education, and the connections among universities, professional bodies, and broader community organizations are explored through a series of current and challenging themes. In their essays, seminar participants reflect on the future of legal education by exploring features of the governance and pedagogical frameworks associated with the teaching of law.

We share here some of the papers written by past seminar participants on various themes raised during the seminar over the past few years in the form of a working paper series. Past participants who would like to contribute their papers can shauna.vanpraagh [at] mcgill.ca (email Shauna Van Praagh).
