McGill LLB Holders May Request Replacement JD Diploma

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur has granted approval for McGill to issue a replacement diploma bearing the designation Juris Doctor (JD) for graduates who received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) prior to 1 January 2020. We had last fall announced that, from winter 2020, graduates of the Faculty of Law’s double-degree program would receive a BCL/JD.

Alumni who wish to request a new common law diploma with the JD designation are invited to follow the process set out on McGill’s Enrolment Services website, accessible at the following link: https://www.mcgill.ca/graduation/diplomas

The standard cost of 120 CAD for a replacement diploma will apply.
