In the 2018 World University Rankings by Subject published by Quacquarelli Symonds, McGill University’s Faculty of Law placed 23rd best place to study law worldwide, slightly up from the 25th rank in 2017. Since the ranking was introduced by QS in 2011, the Faculty of Law has consistently secured a spot in the global top 35. The QS ranking is based on academic reputation, employer reputation, H-index citations, and citations per paper.

“This ranking is consistent with the messages I constantly receive from our alumni around the planet about the abiding value of the extraordinary legal education they received at McGill,” said Dean Robert Leckey. “Our BCL/LLB program, recently renewed, prepares our graduates to deal with uncertainty and constant change as they solve complex problems.”
