Friday, March 15, 2019 13:00to14:30
Chancellor Day Hall NCDH 201, 3644 rue Peel, Montreal, QC, H3A 1W9, CA

Have you ever wondered how IP looks from the in-house side? Join the McGill Intellectual Property Law Student Association (IPLSA) in discussing the in-house IP perspectives with two experienced members of the IP department at Bombardier Aerospace, Emma Start and Timothy Collins. Emma Start is a Senior Patent Agent and Timothy Collins is the Director of IP.

The discussion will cover the following topics:

  • What does IP mean within a large manufacturing/technology company?
  • Understanding integrated IP management
  • Deriving IP value: an in-house perspective vs. a private practice perspective

And, of course, you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about in-house IP experience! Lunch will be served.
