As part of the Faculty of Law's Homecoming activities, we are offering a free CLE accredited lecture to our alumni!

Join Dean Robert Leckey and Professors Fabien Gélinas, Richard Gold and Allison Christians for dynamic presentations on their respective areas of specialty.

  • Professor Gélinas will discuss the duty to avoid and manage conflicts of interest when it comes to  arbitrator independence and methods of appointment.
  • Professor Gold will share insights on complying with client identification and verification requirements, and address open science.
  • Finally, Professor Christians will talk about making legal services available to the public and related access to justice principles, notably making tax policy accessible to the public.

There will be a Q&A session. Following that, you are invited to participate in our student-led tours of the Faculty from 16:00 to 16:30.

We hope you can also join us before the Law Homecoming Banquet starting at 18:00.

Accreditation for 1.5 hours of continuing legal education has been sought from the Law Society of Ontario and the Barreau du Québec.

Please note that while the location is wheelchair-accessible, construction work around the Faculty and the closure of McIntyre garage have made reaching our building more complicated. See our explainer on how to best reach the Faculty, which includes information for people with reduced mobility.
