Offering the only full undergraduate and graduate programs (including MA and PhD) in Quebec, the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures - Russian and Slavic Studies continues to attract one of the largest student enrollments in North America. We are proud to have approximately eighty students graduate with the Major or Minor in Russian studies each year. Due to expanding global links and growing tensions in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia -- areas where Russian continues to be widely spoken -- many opportunities are available to students with qualifications in Russian studies. To students interested in literature, global politics, arts and culture, film and media, public relations and communications, government and NGO work, as well as careers in the military or intelligence, Russian studies offers a unique and highly relevant set of skills beyond those of a standard monolingual degree.
