Course Director, IPEA 503 – Managing Interprofessional Conflict

A Speech Language Pathologist by training, Gina works with the Interprofessional Education team, where she collaborates on the planning, revision, and delivery of the interprofessional education curriculum and contributes to faculty development initiatives.

In parallel with her academic role, Gina is Adjointe à la Directrice within the Direction de la réadaptation et des services multidisciplinaires de santé et de services sociaux at the CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. In this leadership position, she supports strategic planning, quality improvement, professional practice development, and multidisciplinary collaboration across clinical services. Her work focuses on strengthening professional practice, optimizing care processes, and advancing collaborative approaches that support shared decision making, quality, safety, and efficiency within complex healthcare organizations.

With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare system, Gina brings extensive expertise in interprofessional practice, education, and leadership. She has spent many years at the Jewish General Hospital, including in management roles, working closely with diverse healthcare professionals to strengthen communication, care coordination, and person outcomes.

Her teaching interests include interprofessional collaboration, communication, leadership, and managing conflict in healthcare teams. Gina is passionate about supporting learners in developing the skills needed to navigate challenging interprofessional situations and to engage in respectful, person and care partner centered collaborative practice.
