A number of members of the Division are actively involved in scholarly work in medical education. Dr Linda Snell and Dr Jeff Wiseman conduct research projects in:
- clinical teaching and learning
- clinical reasoning
- inter-professional education
- principles of pedagogy
- effectiveness of faculty development programs and of faculty development teaching and learning methods
- core competencies in medical education, e.g., CANMEDS roles: communication skills, leadership and management, teaching skills and scholarship
Drs Snell and Wiseman are members of the Institute of Health Sciences Education at McGill University.
