Last week, we welcomed neuroscientists Liisa Galea (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) and Robert-Paul Juster (Université de Montréal) for SEX CELLS!, a vital conversation on implementing Sex- and Gender-Based Analysis Plus (SGBA+) in health research.

They explored how biological sex and gender identity can affect brain health, reminding us that considering sex and gender isn't just good science—it's essential. Using SGBA+ in research can reveal key differences in disease risk, treatment response and brain function, laying the foundations for more inclusive research and equitable health care.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Neuro for this important discussion!
