In 2019, McGill joined the Coalition for Next Generation Life Sciences, whose growing membership comprises research universities around the globe committed to collecting and publishing data using common standards on their life science training programs. McGill has decided to expand this effort and make these statistics available for doctoral programs across all disciplines: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Median time-to-degree for 3 year grouped graduating classes. The time-to-degree is calculated based on the total elapsed time (measured in years) between the beginning of first term the student registered and the end of the last term they were registered prior to graduation. Leaves of absence and time away from degree are not subtracted from the calculation. Therefore, total elapsed time-to-degree is longer than active, registered time-to-degree.
