If required, justify the use of MassFluidix. Please note that MFX is only suitable for samples > 40 kDa and can only be measured in PBS:
Brief sample information (molecular weight, oligomerization state, isoelectric point, stability in the nM range, type of sample [i.e., protein, nucleic acids, lipids], etc): *
Biohazardous? If yes, please specify:
Estimated number of samples (fill one form/sample): *
Composition of sample buffer to be used for experiment (recommended buffer is PBS but other buffers are acceptable as far as they do not contain glycerol or manganese): *
Concentration of the sample: *
Is sample stable at room temperature (Y/N): *
What to prepare for your measurement (choose one option):
1. At least 100 µL of your sample at 200 nM in desired sample buffer. 2. 10 mL of your sample buffer in a Falcon tube (do NOT pass through a syringe filter; buffer cannot contain glycerol or manganese).
Option 1: “My sample is NOT stable at 200 nM”:
- None - Option 1
1. 15 µL of your sample at 1-10 µM in storage buffer (will be massively diluted in experimental buffer so the composition of the storage buffer here is not important, but avoid manganese). 2. If you want to do the measurement in PBS (recommended), you do NOT need to provide any buffer. 3. If you want to use your own buffer, provide 10 mL of your desired sample buffer in a falcon tube (do NOT pass through a syringe filter; buffer cannot contain glycerol or manganese).
Option 2: “My sample dissociates at 200 nM and I need to do MFX”:
- None - Option 2
1. 150 µL of your sample at 1-10 µM in sample buffer (absolutely NO glycerol or other agents that increase viscosity; No manganese). If you require higher concentrations for a transient interaction indicate this in the description of the sample. 2. 50 mL of your sample buffer in a Falcon (do NOT pass through a syringe filter).
