All experiments requiring a biosafety protocol in the facility MUST be covered by the submitting laboratory’s approved Biosafety Protocol. All users will provide FEMR staff with a copy of their Biosafety Protocol (https://www.mcgill.ca/ehs/files/ehs/ehs-form-014_v2.1_biohazards_application_form_1.pdf) and their EHS Permit Number. The FEMR is not approved to handle samples above BSL-2 or select agents. All users will need to add FEMR research spaces to their own Biosafety Protocol before beginning experiments.

In projects where staff of FEMR provide data collection-only services on user-provided ready-to-image specimens, the following acknowledgements should be included in the publication: 1. In your Materials and Methods section, please mention the data were collected on a (specify microscope here) electron microscope located at the Facility for Electron Microscopy Research at McGill University. 2. In the acknowledgements section of the paper, please recognize the assistance provided by FEMR staff.
