McGill’s Facilities and Space Management System (FAMIS)
FAMIS is McGill’s facilities and space management system. It is integrated with McGill’s Banner system for both human resources and financials. It will be used primarily to:
- Create service requests with maintenance & operations and monitor progress
- Track the planning, construction/renovation, and billing processes
- Maintain a central repository of space data and current architectural plans
- Provide public access to reports project, maintenance, and space information for all campuses
- Enable distribution of floor plans of McGill space for all campuses

FAMIS has replaced the following legacy systems:
- Maximo (the previous service request system)
- S.P.A.C.E. (the previous space database and drawing delivery system)
- CARS (the previous construction project finance system)
- PMD (the previous capital project management system)
