Equity Education for Student Affairs Professionals

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 14:00to15:30

This series of workshops provides an environment for student affairs professionals to learn about topics related to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and how they apply in their roles working with students. This series is designed to follow each other, however there are no prerequisites to attend any of the sessions. Topics discussed will include: unpacking your unconscious biases, microaggressions in student advising, systemic barriers and their impacts on students, and discovering equity resources at McGill. This series will also include case scenarios, and opportunities for interaction with multiple representatives from the Equity Team.

McGill University is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
