This track is an early-admission process that allows strong McGill undergraduates to move directly into a M.Sc. or M.A. program offered by a department in the Faculty of Science after completing their B.Sc.
Students normally apply during the winter term of their U2 undergraduate year. They normally start their Master’s program in the summer following their U3 studies. This offers the opportunity to complete a Master’s degree sooner, with a U3 course selection tailored to the needs of the research project being planned.
A student should have a CGPA of at least 3.3 to be considered for this track.
If you explore this possibility with a potential supervisor, check also with the Earth & Planetary Sciences yajing.liu [at] mcgill.ca (Graduate Program Director), and the Student Affairs Coordinator, kristy.thornton [at] mcgill.ca (Kristy Thornton), to confirm that you qualify and how to meet the deadline before submitting an official application.
