Summary: In place of a research seminar this Friday, we will have an interactive workshop with conversations about the climate crisis and actions we can take to address it. As geoscientists and educators, we are in a unique position to meet the growing needs of the public-facing climate and environmental challenges. This event aims to help us as a community and each of you as scientists, academics and people to connect over our shared concerns, foster hope and think about how we can leverage our strengths to contribute to moving towards a more sustainable future. Bring a laptop or something to take notes so we can gather the ideas we generate in a shared document and follow up on them.
This is part of the EPS/Geotop seminar series, and members of the AOS and Geography departments are also welcome and encouraged to join. There will be pizza for lunch near the end of the workshop.
