Year 2 - Complementary courses

Students must complete a minimum of 3 credits from each of the following categories:

Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences 
Health Services Research / Policy Management 
Population Public Health Methods and Interventions 

A further 15 credits must be selected, based on the student’s specific interests, and/or the stream they select (if applicable).

Practicum experience & courses

 

McGill’s mandatory Master of Science in Public Health (MScPH) practicum project lets you apply what you have learned in the classroom in a supervised practice or research setting. You will contribute to an organization's mandate, and address a public health problem of interest to you. You will also develop skills as public health practitioner or researcher. Practicums are available provincially, nationally, and internationally.

We work with students to identify placements related to their goals and interests, as well sources of practicum funding.

  • Apply graduate-level teachings.
  • Grow your network of professional contacts for mentorship and job searches.
