Work Organization: Gantt Chart

For a successful and timely completion of a project you must monitor a large number of various activities, their progress, schedule and deadlines. If a deadline is missed or a sequence of tasks is violated, it may negatively affect the entire project, delay it or lead to unforeseen complications.

An important tool to control workflow and visually convey information on the project progress are the Gantt charts.

Normally a Gantt chart includes:

  1. The start and the end dates of the project;
  2. The dates of start and finish of different tasks;
  3. People to whom the tasks are assigned, etc.
