Guidance on RDM, research software, cybersecurity, and more!

DRS team

The McGill Digital Research Services (DRS) Hub was formed in 2021 to assist McGill researchers by providing advice and support on activities related to Research Data Management (RDM), Research Software, and access to Computing Infrastructure. The McGill DRS Hub is a collaboration between the Office of the Vice-President - Research and Innovation (VPRI), McGill Libraries, and IT Services.

Other initiatives at McGill

McGill has a variety of researcher-led initiatives that provide individualized support, training, and funding opportunities on various research data topics, such as computational methods, statistics, and geospatial data. Please consult their websites for further information on their services and how to reach them.

D2R logo

DNA to RNA (D2R) provides funding, knowledge mobilization, and clinical accelerator opportunities for researchers working in the fields of genomic (DNA) and transcriptomic (RNA) technologies. D2R has a vision to deliver genomic-based RNA therapies to benefit the health of different populations who are affected by infectious, rare and neglected diseases, or common chronic diseases such as cancer.

HBHL logo

Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives (HBHL) is an interdisciplinary program that uses big data analysis to reveal the fundamental mechanisms underlying normal brain function and brain disorders. They provide access to funding opportunities, neuroscience data management—through the NeuroHub—and training opportunities for emerging and established researchers.

SD4H logo

SD4H is a secure cloud infrastructure for analysis and sharing of genomic and health data.

CDSI logo

The Computational and Data Systems Institute (CDSI) in the Faculty of Science offers workshops and specialized expert advice on topics related to advanced statistical methods, coding and programming languages, and general data science.

QICSS logo

The McGill-Concordia Laboratory of the Quebec Inter-University Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS) is a secure facility designed to facilitate advanced research in social statistics for both students and faculty by providing access to an extensive array of Statistics Canada's surveys and access to databases like the Census and administrative records.

GIC logo

The Geographic Information Centre (GIC) supports researchers who work with, analyze, and visualize geospatial data, be it Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS) or Geospatial Data Science. Researchers can access individualized support, as well as computers with specialized-GIS software.

MiCM logo

The McGill initiative in Computational Medicine (MiCM) offers workshops and student-teaching opportunities on various computational medicine methods and tools for Bioinformatics research.
