French Proficiency
To be admitted to the PIF Certificate, a good command of the French language is required. Candidates must submit proof of an acceptable score on one of the following tests: TECFÉE/CÉFRAN, DELF, DALF or equivalent. If applicants do not have proof of French proficiency, they will be required to take a language test offered by McGill. Once the Department of Integrated Studies in Education confirms academic eligibility for the program, candidates will receive a message via the uApply platform regarding attestation of their French language proficiency.
Required Documents
- A current working CV
- A 1-2 page letter of intent
- two letters of recommendation (one from the academic community and one from the professional community)
- transcripts of all university degrees obtained, undertaken or in progress; if accepted, original transcripts will be requested as a condition of admission
- Proof of French language proficiency* (one of the following):
- TECFÉE/CÉFRANC (70% or more)
- Diplôme d'étude en langue française (DELF), level B2 (50 points or more)**
