Mentorship program

Our formal DOM-wide mentorship program is focused on the needs of early career faculty (within 5 years of appointment). Our program uses a tailored mentorship software tool (Mentoring Resources TM) to facilitate matching of mentees with mentors, provide access to mentoring materials, surveys, goal setting tools and scheduling applications. The program was launched in Spring 2021, and now includes 80+ faculty who complete the active program over 12 months and then continue their informal partnerships for as long as mutually beneficial. Mentors complete a 1.5-hour training and orientation session prior to signing on as mentors. All mentees are invited to participate upon recruitment. From June 1, 2023 to June 1, 2024, the program is accredited for up to 17 hours of Section 3 RCPSC credits for mentees (14 hours) and mentors (17 hours).

We are recruiting more mentors! Please email natalie.dayan [at] mcgill.ca or dana.ajjaoui [at] rimuhc.ca and we will get back to you with upcoming orientation dates!
