The McGill University Faculty of Dentistry will once again be offering free dental treatment, this summer from July 2 to July 26, 2019, for children aged 10 to 17 and for physically or intellectually disabled patients who are 10 or older.
Treatment is provided by fourth-year dental students under the supervision of general practice dentists.
Patients can have their teeth checked and cleaned and have minor dental work, such fillings and extractions, at no charge. This service is supported by a grant from the Quebec Ministry of Social Affairs.
As this clinic is only four weeks long, we may not be able to complete all the required treatment.
As of June 20, 2019, the Summer Dental Clinic is full and therefore no longer taking patient applications.
To ensure you can apply to be a patient in the Summer Dental Clinic next year, please download the patient questionnaire form and return your completed application starting April 2020 (more details soon).
Unfortunately, the application period for the 2019 summer clinic is now closed. The 2020 summer clinic will run for 4 weeks in July, dates to be determined.
If you are interested in volunteering for that clinic you can apply online between January 1 and May 1, 2020.
We accept a maximum of 50 volunteers and acceptance is made based on a first-come first-served basis for those who meet the minimum age (18 years) and vaccine requirements listed in the application form.
You must apply by May 1 of the clinic year and we will contact those who are accepted as volunteers by June 1st.
