How can I become a patient?

You can apply through our website or contact Ms. Ann-Marie Plante, New Patient Coordinator, at (514) 934-8042 and an application package will be mailed to you.

How long will it take before I get an appointment?

Depending on your needs and the students’ requirements, the waiting period between 1 and 6 months.

How long are the appointments?

The appointments are approximately 3-4 hours long, 9:00-12:00 in the morning  and 1:00-5:00 in the afternoon.

Do you do Implants?

We do implants in 2 situations. The first situation is one implant to replace a posterior missing tooth between 2 natural teeth. The other situation is 2 implants to support a lower denture.

Do you do braces or orthodontic treatments?

Yes, but only for simple cases. You must call (514) 398-5189 for information and a screening appointment.

How long will my treatment take?

Because this is a teaching clinic, you must expect more visits compared to a private clinic. We prefer if patients are available once a week. Depending on the treatment needed, it may vary from 1 month to 1 year. Don’t forget that  the clinic runs from September to May only.

Can we go at your clinic for regular cleanings only?

No. If you only need a cleaning, it is not worth it for you to come to our clinic. We only accept patients that require several treatments.

Dental hygiene teaching clinics offer check-ups, x-rays and cleanings at a lower cost.

How can I pay?

You may pay Cash, Debit, Visa or MasterCard. (No cheques)

Are there any payment arrangements?

You must pay at each visit except if your treatment takes many visits, you then pay half at the beginning and the other half at the end.

Is the clinic less expensive than a regular dentist? 

Our fees are approximately 50% less than in a  B&W private clinic.

Are you open at night or on weekends?

No, the clinic is closed at night and on weekends.

Where is the clinic located?

The McGill University Dental Clinic is located at 2001 Mcgill College avenue on the corner of Sherbrooke. Reception is on the 1st floor, suite 104

How do I get there?

By public transportation: The clinic is accessible by McGill Metro station and Bus line 24.
