Did you know that we have a hospital-standard sterilization department in the basement of our new facility? The unit specializes in the cleaning and sterilization of all instruments used in the clinic.
Fast Facts: - The unit operates from 7:00am until 10:00pm from Monday to Friday - 1000 items are processed each day - 2 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees ensure the smooth flow of instruments through the sterilisation process - The staff members have on average 15 years of hospital reprocessing experience - Sterilization is a four-step process:
- Instruments are inspected and pre-washed by hand
- instruments are washed in a Washer disinfector
- instruments are inspected and packaged
- instruments are sterilized in the Sterilizers
