Dr. Cohen-Levy Received ACFD W.W. Wood Award for Excellence in Dental Education

The award is given annually to a deserving teacher selected by fourth year dental students.

Congratulations to Dr. Julia Cohen-Levy for being awarded the W.W. Wood Award for Excellence in Dental Education. The W.W. Wood Award recognizes a professor's excellence in teaching, a passion for student learning, and a steadfast dedication to the betterment of dental education. The Class of 2022 has selected Dr. Cohen-Levy as this years recipient.

Dr. Cohen-Levy is a clinician-scientist specialized in Orthodontics ( DDS, MSc, Ph.D, FRCD (C)) with a research focus on dental sleep medicine and craniofacial diseases. She joined our Faculty as an Assistant Professor in 2020 and has been actively involved in undergraduate dental education. She has developed a systematic approach in teaching complex concepts of orthodontics. She encourages students to reflect and develop their own critical reasoning with an emphasis on interactivity and self-assessment.
