Payment on-site must be made by check, made out to the "Department of History and Classical Studies, McGill University" with "AAH conference, fund 105250" clearly indicated on the memo line or elsewhere on the check. On-site registration fees are $160 (in US or Canadian dollars) for regular members, $120 for student members. The organizers need to have a final count three days in advance for the banquet on Saturday, May 10. If you plan to register on-site, please notify the organizers by aah2014.history [at] mcgill.ca (email) by Wednesday, May 7 in order to guarantee that you receive a banquet and drink tickets.

See you in Montreal!

The 2014 AAH meeting will be held in coordination with the 2014 Annual General Meeting of the Classical Association of Canada. The AAH meeting will run 8-11 May, and the CAC will run 6-9 May. The CAC and AAH will co-sponsor a keynote lecture by Prof. Martin Jehne (TU-Dresden), "Did Caesar Cause the Fall of the Republic: Once more the Great Man in history" on Thursday 8 May, followed by a reception. The two conferences will overlap one day, 9 May, on which day those registered for the AAH may attend the panels of the CAC for free.

There will be a check-in table at the Montreal Delta Hotel  from 1:00 pm to about 5:00 pm on Thursday 8 May, where those registrants who reserved rooms at the hotel at the special group rate can pick up their conference packet (wth name tag, etc). After 5:00 pm, registrants staying at the hotel may pick up their registration packets in the lobby of the Arts Building on the McGill campus. All other registrants (i.e., those not staying at the Delta) can pick up their registration packets in the lobby of the Arts Building any time on Thursday. Registrants arriving after Thursday can check-in at the lobby of the Arts Building. You must check in before 6:00 pm if you plan to attend Prof. Jehne's lecture.

The closing banquet will be held on the evening of Saturday 10 May at the Delta Montreal hotel and will feature a closing address by Prof. Kurt Raaflaub (Brown University), "Horror vacui: Livy's Struggles in Writing the Missing History of Rome's Early Republic." There will be a brief cash bar cocktail reception (6:30-7:00) followed by a buffet dinner (7:00-10:00). If you have any special dietary concerns, please contact the local organizer at least three days before the banquet.

Please direct any questions to the local organizer, Michael Fronda (aah2014 [at] mcgill.ca).
