MBA students at the Desautels Faculty of Management are immersing themselves in the world of the performing arts as a way to improve leadership skills through a unique workshop in collaborative leadership which uses theatrical improvisation techniques. Taught by actor, writer and producer Rob Nickerson, the workshop includes a series of progressively layered exercises in which students come to both intellectually understand and also experience the benefits of collaboration; seeing when it is present and also when it is absent.
A team led by Steve Maguire, Director of the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM) , has been named winner of the 2014 Dr. Alfred N. and Lynn Manos Page Prize for Integration of Sustainability Issues in Business Curricula, for conceiving and implementing the new Managing for Sustainability Major and Concentration (MSUS) programs for Bachelor of Commerce students at McGill.
The decision to come to McGill as the Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Green Chemistry and Green Chemicals means Robin Rogers will have to make a number of significant changes to his life. Among other things, it involves coming to a new university, a new city and a new country. One thing that Rogers won’t need to overhaul, however, is his wardrobe.
They come from Antigua to Zimbabwe, and almost every country in between.
