Fit Minds
This workshop is designed, above all, to offer you a joyful experience of exercise. It is designed having in mind the potential of physical activity and movement as a tool that can be useful in fitting the mind while also the body. We will cover themes such as mental fitness which will address emotional regulation, self-compassion, confidence and challenges we experience to become more physically active or keep it up once we have started.
If you are planning to start going to the gym, or playing a sport that is new to you, or restarting one that you did in the past and you have doubts, discomforts, or any kind of worry of the types of 'if's' and 'what if's', then this workshop is for you, also.
This workshop consists of five, one-hour-and-a-half sessions. Each week we will start with a brief educational segment with discussion, followed by an exercise routine, and will end with a short debriefing reflection and open exchange. Please plan on attending all 5 sessions. Finally, this workshop is inclusive and open to all students with all levels of fitness, because it is more about having fun and getting our minds fit.
Please register 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
