Company Info Session: Semtech
Attention Electrical Engineering students!
SUBJECT: Signal Integrity in Integrated Circuits at 50 Gb/s and beyond
ABSTRACT: Data transmission at 50 Gb/s is anything but a purely digital problem. Signals are degraded by loss and dispersion in optical fibres, connectors and backplanes; and ones and zeros are quickly obscured. Yet the received data must be recovered with enormous accuracy. Semtech’s ‘Signal Integrity Products’ group will present some solutions to these problems implemented with its sophisticated mixed analog-digital integrated circuits. Applications include optical modules used to connect the internet and high-speed video data over cable. Semtech has a large portfolio of datacom, video, wireless and sensing, power management and ESD protection ICs and has Canadian design centres in Ottawa, Montreal, Burlington and Calgary.
