Research Interests
Dr. Prakash is a renowned professor of McGill University and founder of several bioengineering companies. He has contributed to the advancement and understanding of the human microbiome and probiotic formulations for use in neurological disorders (i.e. Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Diseases), aging, metabolic syndrome, obesity and cardiovascular diseases. His work has also advanced medical devices such as next generation of stents, film dressing and targeted delivery of drugs, live cells and therapeautic molecules. His scholarly publications exceed 350 research articles/abstracts, book chapters, 72 patents and 3 edited books. Dr. Prakash's efforts have been met with international recognition and awards.
